Westbrook Lions Club holds its 8'th Annual Potato Festival
Location: Town Green 11:00am to 3:00pm

The Potato Festival is the Westbrook Lions primary fundraiser to support eye research and numerous community and local charities.
The Lions Club will be serving baked potatoes with toppings, clam chowder, hamburgers, hot dogs and corn on the cob.
Vendors on the Green will be selling jewelry, crafts and other items. There will be live music, safety demonstrations and fun for the kids

The Cottage by the Sea is hosting an evening of classic '50's, '60's, and 70's Rock 'n Roll featuring the keyboard magic and vocalization of Leo Boogie.
Location: Elks Lodge, 142 Seaside Avenue, Westbrook, CT
Doors open at 6 pm on Aug. 24 at the Elks Loge. Event is open to the public. Donation of $10 per person is asked. Music is from 7 pm to 10 pm.
Bring a lawn chair and BYOB. -

The Westbrook Fife & Drum is only a Month away. Mark your calendars to attend the great events going on. This is one of the best Fife & Drum Events in the area.Friday, 8/26/11 at 7 pm the annual Westbrook Fife & Drum Event begins with Tattooing on the Little League Field, Westbrook. Saturday, 8/27/11 at 11 am the annual Westbrook Fife & Drum parade in downtown Westbrook, CT with many towns and states represented.

The First Congregational Church of Westbrook will be holding their annual Church Fair. Items of all kinds, jewelry, clothes, baked goods, homemade crafts, linens and tag sale items are all for sale at low low prices.Come join the fun and pick= out your early Christmas gifts for family and friends.

Westbrook Town Green
The Westbrook Historical Society's 32nd "Day on the Green" event will be held on Saturday, September 17th with a rain date of Sunday, September 18th.There will be a special exhibit in the Historical Society building with a new reprinted Westbrook History: Happenings and Hearsay book available for purchase. The Town Green will have craft ers, antique dealers, bake sales, and tag sale items on the green. The Boy Scouts will provide food of hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks.
Come out and see over 300 years of local history and look for that special something at the tag sale, enjoy your lunch on the green and start your Christmas shopping early at the crafter's booths.
