  In 1970 Gowrie began with a simple mission - insuring boats and protecting their owners. Over the years, our clients' needs matured, our expertise expanded, and our business developed into one of the largest and most well-respected, independently owned insurance agencies.

  As Gowrie grew, we became an organization comprised of many linked companies, programs, and brands, including Gowrie Barden & Brett, Gowrie Brett & Young, Fisher & Fisher Associates, Brewer Preferred Insurance, and The Burgee Program. All these Gowrie companies share the same values: insight, analysis, and service excellence. In 2009, to align with our goals of straightforward communication, expert advice, and comprehensive solutions we began operating under one consolidated name - Gowrie Group.
